There were so many things that I learned this week as I struggled to get my campaign up and running. The first is that when looking at your google ads and trying to know why your impressions aren't appearing, check the date range and make sure that you are looking at the correct time frame for your campaign.
If you are looking for a couple of ways to improve your campaign here are a few ideas as well:
Make sure that your ad matches the content of what the ad will direct the user to. You can improve this through the use of headlines, keywords and descriptions. Try to also use phrasing that will get users to click on your ad. For example my campaign had a headline of Vinyl Pressed Apparel. I didn't believe that it was doing any good and I changed the headline to something I would click on, "everyday low prices" and I started to get more impressions and clicks.
Another way to improve your ad is improve your keywords. Bad keywords are keywords that users don't search a lot, or sometimes they are in a lot of different searches but don't receive any clicks. Another way that a keyword might be bad is if it has clicks, but doesn't result in many conversions.
All of the following affect how well your campaign does. If your campaign isn't performing as well as you would like, try some of these suggestions and see what improves!
