Lessons Learned

One of the biggest aspects of business design that I have learned about this week, as I have been starting up my own business, is the need to sometimes redo your business plan. Often times as humans we decide what we think will work best and then even when it is not working best, we keep at it and keep at it, trying to make our perfect plan work rather than revising it. For example, I had planned to use a certain type of web builder for my online business; however, as I started using that builder, I realized that the builder was becoming increasingly frustrating to work with, as it didn't really have all of the functions that I needed in a clear cut way. One of the greatest lessons from the week came in the fact that sometimes with business, your mental plan is not always the best plan. Other things I learned this week entailed learning how to do the code for a PayPal button as well as proper ways to format a site that make it more appealing to the customer.
